Six months after it's launch in 2000, StudentUniverse.com
had no search engine visibility. We developed an integrated marketing
approach and leveraged most of the online channels for driving traffic.
The results were instantly evident. StudentUniverse's search engine
traffic reached as high as 20,000 visits per month resulting in on a
monthly average of 750 bookings. The Search engine traffic was nicely
supplemented by the Cost per click traffic averaging an 8% Clickthrough
rate with a manageable cost per unique. Moreover, within a year of launching
the "Deals Alert" e-newsletter campaign, StudentUniverse captured over
180,000 opt in subscribers, with monthly conversion rates exceeding
any other visitor group.
