User Interface Design
Based in Boston, MA, DirectAthletics provides online entry services and Web-based automation tools for data-intensive sports such as Swimming, Track & Field and Road Racing.
Direct Athletics called upon Pixelgroove to help improve the overall usability and strengthen the brand of their web-based system. This project was fairly involved from the start. With a target audience of less than savvy site users, the interface required to be smooth and intuitive with the least amount of noise as possible.
Similarly, the data presented by the system was so dense that the interface itself needed to be stripped so it would not compete with the information.
The project was completed in two months and included a complete user interface design of key templates across the site. Pixelgroove handed over the Six templates and Direct Athletics implemented the new design across the site.
